Beijing, August 20, 2013 - Baidu-owned iQIYI and Intertrust Technologies Corporation today announced that iQIYI, the largest Internet video service provider in China would use Intertrust's ExpressPlay™ Marlin DRM Platform as a Service (PaaS) for its premium video service. Intertrust's world-class copyright protection solution provides hosted services and client side technologies across client platforms including for iPhones, iPads, Android devices, smartTV's, and set top boxes.

iQIYI ( is China's leading online television and movie portal. iQIYI's movie channel contains the largest catalogue of high-definition Chinese films and videos as well as premium Hollywood content it licenses from all the major Hollywood studios. iQIYI's VIP service offers members the best on-demand experience.

Launched earlier this year, ExpressPlay is the world's only one-stop DRM platform. The solution provides servers and multiplatform client technology. ExpressPlay's software clients are tamper resisted and can be integrated into ready-to-deploy media player apps with minimum effort.

"With a growing base of over 400 million users, we sought a future-proof DRM solution that was easy to use and integrate," said Dong Ma, Chief Content Officer of iQIYI. "We welcome iQIYI to the growing list of ExpressPlay customers," said Kenny Huang, vice president and general manager for Greater China at Intertrust.
