The MDC has developed specifications for a DRM-based platform for sharing multimedia content across the multiple devices in a home network. These specifications enable service providers, device manufacturers, and other players in the ecosystem, to provide a consistent experience when sharing multimedia across broadband, broadcast, and mobile applications and services.

In the spirit of openness and knowledge sharing, these specifications are now available for broad distribution to any interested entity. The specifications are currently available to evaluators free of charge. If you would like to participate more actively in the further development of the specifications and benefit from the tools and contributed code, you may join the MDC as a participant. If you would like to build a commercial deployment based on the tools, contributed code or any other Marlin technology, you will need an additional license.

How can I download the Marlin specifications?

As an Evaluator of the MDC, you can download the specifications directly from the Evaluator area of the website. To access the Evaluator area, you will need a login account, which you can get by completing the online request form and accepting the terms of the copyright license.
