C

Compliance Rules means the technical requirements set forth in exhibits to the Marlin Client Agreement and the Marlin Service Provider Agreement as may be amended from time to time in accordance with the foregoing agreements.

Exclusion means the means by which MTMO releases a Broadcast Key Block (as defined in Marlin Specification), rendering a certain product unable to access a Content Key (as defined in the Compliance Rules) for decrypting Marlin Content (as defined in the Compliance Rules) and, thereby, unable to access such Marlin Content (including, where the context requires, “Exclusion” or “Excluded”). 


M

Marlin DRM System Implementation Specification(s)  means a specification (i) designated as a Marlin DRM System Implementation Specification as approved by the MDC, for creating digital rights management systems and (ii) made available through the MTMO Web Site to MTMO Participants.

Marlin Specification(s) means the specification(s) (i) approved by the MDC and designated as “Final” on the cover sheet of the specification (including, but not limited to, the Marlin Technology Platform Specifications and the Marlin DRM System Implementation Specifications), including any updates or revisions as adopted and approved for release by the MDC and (ii) made available through the MTMO Website to MTMO Participants.

Marlin Technology Platform Specification(s) means a specification (i) designated as a Marlin Technology Platform Specification as approved by the MDC for the tools that are to be used to build the functionality to be more fully described in a Marlin DRM System Implementation Specification and (ii) made available through the MTMO Website to MTMO Participants.

Marlin Trust Management Document means technical requirements with respect to trust management set forth in a separate document titled as “Marlin Trust Management Document“ on its cover page, and established and made available by MTMO to Service Provider through MTMO Website as may be amended from time to time.

Provisioning Packets means the end entity (device or service) level keys, certificates and signed assertions as specified in the applicable Marlin Specification.

Remediation collectively means Revocation, Exclusion and Shunning and individually Revocation, Exclusion or Shunning.

Revocation means the means by which a certain product or service is included on the certification revocation list or device revocation list, rendering such device or service incapable of operating the functions contemplated to work in association with a particular certificate or device (including, where the context requires, “Revoke” or “Revoked”).

Robustness Rules means the requirements set forth in exhibits to Marlin Client Agreement and Marlin Service Provider Agreement, as may be amended from time to time, and designated as Robustness Rules by MTMO.

Shunning means a Service Providers refusal to fulfill a device transaction until such device has received a service update (including, where the context requires, “Shun” or “Shunned”).
