In January 2005, five companies formed the Marlin Joint Development Association (JDA) to develop DRM specifications that provide interoperability across multiple multimedia devices and services.  These companies are:

Mission

The MDC’s mission is twofold – to develop specifications for an interoperable DRM platform for multimedia service, device and content providers, and to provide open access to these specifications to drive market adoption.
